Thanks for taking the time to stop by and check out my work. If you're interested in chatting about a potential design project, shoot me a message via the Contact tab and I'll get back to you as soon as I am able. Until then, a little about me...
I am an all around creative person with a passion for architecture and design. I love using my hands to create art, to cook, to garden and to design clean, modern spaces while utilizing classic furniture. A Denver native, I started my creative career as a fine artist but quickly found a love for architecture and interior spaces. I moved to Chicago to study at Harrington College of Art and Design. After completing my junior year at Harrington, I decided it was time to move back to Denver to study under Julie Pollack who was leading the movement of green design at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. There, I choose to study not only interiors but also sustainable design and graphic design. With the structure of Harrington and the free spirit of RMCAD, my craft came full-circle and has evolved into what it is today.
In 2010 I began working at Xan Creative designing beautiful restaurants, offices, retail locations and lofts around Denver. I feel like I got to touch a bit of our city and leave a little mark on it in a way. Working for Xan and being able to design many spaces like; Ace Eat Serve, DBar San Diego, three Snooze locations, the expansion of the Great Divide's Tap Room and Marco's Coal Fired Pizza's really put me years ahead of other young designers in the experience and scope of work I got to do. I also got the chance to be apart of designing three large office spaces; Pure Branding, Rabble and Rouser, and Diablo Media. Along with a loft in the Auraria district, concepting with Allegro Coffee, and designing new retail locations for The Clinic. I am so grateful for the people I got to work with as well as the knowledge and inspiration I received at my time with Xan.
After Xan, I spent time designing for a small design/build company called Work Shop, where we designed and built 15+ houses (both new builds and pop tops) along with custom kitchens, bathroom vanities and where I was able to bring my own furniture design to life. Among all the Work Shop projects, the standout was most certainly Work&Class. Situated on the corner of 25th and Larimer, we had great bones to work with as a new build of pieced together shipping containers was coming to life. Inspiration came from a photograph given to the owner of an abandoned warehouse with broken windows. As such, Work&Class is industrial and warm. Grungy and unique. Tight quarters make for a bustling environment every night of the week and it was a joy to work with a dear friend as she opened her new restaurant.
Since that time I've devoted my heart and soul to a few other little projects ;) My 2 little boys, Oscar and Roman are 2 and 4 years old and much of my time and energy has gone to them the past few years, but there comes time for new adventures. With the housing market continuing to boom in Denver, I'm coming across more and more friends and people who are simply looking for that little spark for their new home or space. As a seasoned designer, it's my pleasure to help folks bring new ideas to life in the spaces they call home. Id love to work with you and hear what you are dreaming about. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
